Depp's a great actor, but nothing's going to top
Wilder's believably manic performance in the original.
Ditto War of The Worlds. I went to see it the
other afternoon, and found it a bit boring. The
original (2 x album) version was played to us in
a classroom when we were about 8 or 9, and every-
thing about it - the artwork, music, etc. - is
still fresh in my mind. I can't see the new version
doing the same for today's younger youff.

Yeah, I think they should ask Andy Mc Coy to play Captain Sparrows brother in the new film. What a kewl family that would be, with Keith Richards as the Daddy Kewl as well...
